Italian giants Fiorentina want to replace Crystal Palace bound Khouma Babacar with Southampton striker Graziano Pelle, according to reports from the Gazzetta World
Fiorentina are looking to shake up their squad during the January transfer window as they prepare to stake a claim for the Serie A title this season.
It is believed that Fiorentina manager Paulo Sousa is ready to offload Khouma Babacar who is being targeted by Crystal Palace while even Giuseppe Rossi is set for an exit from Florence as he looks to earn regular first team football.
With Babacar and Rossi set for departures, Sousa is in the market to sign a new striker and now according to reports from the Gazzetta World, it has been claimed that the Viola boss is considering a swoop for Southampton star Graziano Pelle.
Following a fine start to the season, Pelle has gone off the boil in recent months and it is believed that the Italian international wants a move back to Italy during the January transfer window.
Southampton manager Ronald Koeman is also said to be open to allowing Pelle to leave Southampton this winter for the right price and claims have been made that Fiorentina are now ready to swoop in for the 30-year old within the coming days.
