Former Brighton and Hove Albion manager Oscar Garcia on the verge of being appointed Nottingham Forest manager, according to reports
Forest will be looking to appoint a long term replacement for Dougie Freedman this summer and names such as Nigel Pearson, Ivan Vukomanovic, Nigel Clough, Billy Davies and Steve Clark among others have all been linked with the managerial position at the City Ground.
Former Brighton and Hove Albion and Watford manager Oscar Garcia has also been mentioned as one of the candidates to manage Forest and now according to reports, it can be revealed that the Spaniard is currently the frontrunner for the job.
Garcia is held in high regard in England following his fine work as manager of Brighton and he was doing very well with Watford as well, before health issues forced him to step down from his position.
Now Garcia is managing Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg but the 43-year-old is said to be very interested in making a return back to England.
It can be revealed that Forest view Garcia as a very attractive option and owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi is believed to be pulling out all the stops in order to bring the former Barcelona star to the City Ground this summer.
