Championship outfit Leeds United are keen on securing the services of Dundee striker Greg Stewart, according to reports
There is a lot of uncertainty surrounding the managerial position at Leeds United but that has not stopped a number of players being linked with a move to Elland Road over the past few weeks.
Now the latest name being touted to join the Whites is Dundee striker Greg Stewart. Having scored only 50 goals last season, Leeds clearly struggled to find the back of the net on a consistent basis and matters have not been helped by the fact that Mirco Antenucci is certain to be leaving.
As a result, signing a new striker is high on the priority list for Leeds at the moment and now according to reports emerging out of Scotland, claims have been made that the Championship based outfit want to make a swoop for Dundee star Greg Stewart.
impressed in the Scottish Premier League last season, scoring 9 goals and providing 15 assists in 37 appearances and his fine form has led to interest from a number of clubs.
While Dundee do not want to part with Stewart, his contract at Tannadice Park expires next season and the Tangerines may well have to cash in on the striker in order to avoid losing him for nothing.
Given Stewart’s availability, Leeds are keen on signing the 26-year-old and are believed to be ready to pay a six figure sum in order to land his services.
