According to reports from the Daily Mirror, Leeds United are among the favourites to secure the services of Valencia attacker Alvaro Negredo.
New Leeds United manager Thomas Christiansen has already strengthened his squad this summer with no less than nine new signings but despite the influx of players, the Spaniard is still looking to further strengthen ahead of the upcoming Championship campaign.
With the future of Chris Wood at Elland Road currently in doubt, Leeds could well be in need of a new striker and now in shock reports from the Daily Mirror, revelations have been made that the Whites are currently considering a move for Valencia attacker Alvaro Negredo.
Negredo is currently surplus to requirements at Valencia and the ex-Spanish international is now said to be looking to make a return back to England.
While Swansea City are also interested in Negredo, Leeds’ Spanish technical director Victor Orta, who joined Leeds at the end of May after leaving a similar role at Middlesbrough, brokered the attacker’s loan deal to the Riverside last July and he could replicate the feat this time around as well.
