With the added rigours of European football, Hull City manager Steve Bruce has understandably been very active in the transfer market this summer bringing in no less than eight new players to the club.

Despite such a huge influx to the KC Stadium though, Bruce has indicated that he is still looking to make a swoop for a couple of new players before the transfer window slams shut in the coming days.

It is evident that Hull will be signing a new striker following the departure of Shane Long recently and it is widely believed that Palermo striker Abel Hernandez is already on his way to the KC Stadium.

Bruce is said to be looking to sign a new attacking midfielder as well after being dealt with a cruel blow of losing Robert Snodgrass for at least six months and it can now be revealed by Winner Sports that the Hull manager has set his sights on signing Hoffenheim star Sejad Salihović.

Although not a household name in England, Salihović has been one of the stars of the Bundesliga over the last decade or so and enjoyed a particularly fruitful campaign for Hoffenheim last season, where he scored 11 goals as well as provided 5 assists in 28 appearances.

With Bruce desperate to sign a replacement to negate the loss of Snodgrass, the 53-year old has been scouring the market in search of a creative midfielder and has now identified Salihović as a realistic target.

Hoffenheim are not too keen on losing their key player so close to the end of the transfer window but Hull are ready to offer around £5-7million in order to tempt the German side to part with the 29-year old.

After 8 years at the  Rhein-Neckar Arena, Salihović may also be welcome for a change and a chance to join a Premier League side such as Hull City could an offer too good to turn down for the star midfielder.

Salihović started his career with Hamburg but really came into prominence since joining Hoffenheim back in 2006. The midfielder is a regular for the Bosnia & Herzegovina national team as well and made two appearances for the Dragons at the FIFA World Cup this summer.
