Newly promoted Crystal Palace are hopeful of signing former Blackpool winger Elliott Grandin on a free transfer. The Frenchman had left Bloomfield Road at the end of last season after his contract with the club expired.
However, Palace will face competition for the 25-year-old as Turkish side Karabukspor and Russian side Krylia Sovetov are also reportedly interested in the player. If Grandin decides to move to Selhurst Park, he will be reunited with Palace manager Ian Holloway. Holloway brought Grandin to England in 2010 and he spent 2 years under the current Eagles manager at Blackpool. Ian Holloway is said to be a keen admirer of the Frenchman.
Grandin started his career at Caen and has gone on to play for Olympique de Marseille, Grenoble Foot 38 and CSKA Sofia in his career so far. He has made 46 appearances for Blackpool in his three years at the club and has scored 6 goals.
Crystal Palace have been very busy in the transfer market this summer. Ian Holloway has secured the signings of Jerome Thomas , Dwight Gayle, Stephen Dobbie, Ismail H’Maidat and José Campaña so far.
