Cardiff City have sensationally the submitted a five-page document to the FA requesting Crystal Palace to be docked three points – which the Eagles had picked up during the clash between the two sides earlier this month.

Cardiff City’s eccentric owner Vincent Tan had caused quite a stir following his side’s 3-0 loss at the hands of Palace a few weeks back, accusing the Eagles of trying to obtain the Bluebirds’ starting line-up prior to the game.

Tan had specifically pointed the finger at the direction of Palace’s sporting director Iain Moody, who was fired from his post as head of recruitment at Cardiff by the Malaysian owner earlier in the season, of using his existing contacts within the Bluebirds to obtain information about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s lineup 24 hours before their match.

Following an internal inquiry by Cardiff a few days later, Tan also proceeded to fire a staff member for gross misconduct relating to the issue.

Palace have since categorically denied the accusations but Cardiff have once again reignited the controversial matter by launching a complaint to the FA claiming that they have proof of Moody succeeding in his endeavor and as a result, breaching league rules before demanding that the Eagles to be docked points or punished severely.

The Premier League have since confirmed that they have received an official complaint from Palace and will be investigating the matter.

A Premier League spokesman said, “The Premier League has received a formal complaint from Cardiff City and will now investigate the matter.”
