Newly promoted Premier League outfit Burnley are keen on signing Sheffield Wednesday defender Tom Lees, according to reports from HITC
Burnley managed to earn promotion to the Premier League in fine fashion last season and many feel that Sean Dyche’s men will be better prepared to stave off the drop during the upcoming campaign as they are now armed with the experience from their previous time in the English top flight a couple of years ago.
However, it goes without saying that Burnley will need to strengthen their squad in order to stand a chance of avoiding the drop and the Clarets have been linked with a number of names already.
Now according to reports from HITC, claims are being made that Burnley are set to make a bid for Sheffield Wednesday star Tom Lees.
Lees has been one of the most consistent defenders in the Championship over the past few seasons and he enjoyed a very productive campaign with Wednesday last term.
Burnley are facing a fight to keep hold of star defender Michael Keane, who is a target for champions Leicester City at the moment and claims are being made that Dyche has identified Lees as the ideal signing if indeed he loses the 23-year-old this summer.
