RANGERS fans tonight will be disappointed that a much needed cash injection will not be coming to fruition due to their arch-rivals Celtic.
An irreverent mobile casino company, Fruity King was set to offer Rangers a record new kit sponsorship deal that would exceed the current deal recently agreed with online gaming giants 32Red.
The betting company was recently in talks (revealed by The Daily Record) with The SPFL over a £1.75m per year title sponsorship deal.
A company spokesman said: “We have been talking to several parties with the aim of establishing a strategic partnership, it is true, Rangers were at the top of our list.”
“It is also true that we had conversations with The SPFL (Scottish Professional Football League).”
“We consider Rangers the world’s most successful football club and have a huge respect for Celtic and their loyal fans.”
“Unfortunately due to the mutual animosity between fans of the two teams we have decided not to pursue any immediate sponsorship deals.”
“We don’t want to alienate our brand in the historic city of Glasgow.”
The company who describe themselves as “your one stop destination for mobile casino gaming needs, served with a side dish of mischief” recently tweeted:
The King says; "Rangers FC are the most successful football club in the world." (54 titles, 60 domestic cups) RT if you agree with the King
