Bolton Wanderers legend Sam Allardyce has further endeared himself to the fans by joining the club’s Supporters’ Trust
While he may be a divisive figure around England, Sam Allardyce remains much loved in Bolton Wanderers and understandably so.
The 61-year old enjoyed two spells at Bolton as a player before presiding as manager of the club during arguably their most successful period.
As a result, it was no surprise to see Allardyce receiving a very warm welcome when he made a return to the Macron Stadium to provide support for former Bolton player, Garry Jones, who is suffering from cancer.
During his visit to the Macron, Allardyce also took the time out to meet the club’s Supporter’ Trust and agreed to pledge his support to the group.
The Bolton Wanderers Supporters Trust is driving a cause to have a bigger influence on how things are run at the club in the future and more than 1,000 people including Allardyce have already signed up.
