According to reports emerging out of Poland, Championship outfit Newcastle United are plotting a move to bring back Tamas Kadar to St. James’ Park.
Following a difficult start to the season, Newcastle United have managed to make a wonderful recovery over the past few months and the 2-0 victory over Barnsley on Tuesday night means that the Magpies have moved into the summit of the Championship table.
On current form, Newcastle certainly look like a very good bet to claim promotion into the Premier League but it should be pointed out that the Magpies still have a very long way to go and they cannot afford to get complacent as of yet.
Manager Rafael Benitez has been keen on to stress on the fact that his side have not achieved anything as of yet and it is believed that the Spaniard will be looking to strengthen his squad during the January transfer window in order to further boost his side’s chances of securing automatic promotion.
A few names have been mentioned in recent times as targets for Newcastle and now according to reports emerging out of England, claims have been made that the Tyneside based outfit are currently considering a swoop for Tamas Kadar.
Kadar will be well known figure to Newcastle fans after the defender spent four years at the club between 2008 and 2012. However, the defender managed to make only 12 appearances during his stay at St. James’ Park and was eventually released by the club.
While Kadar was not able to make the grade at Newcastle, he has been creating waves Polish outfit Lech Poznań and the 26-year-old is now considered a hot property in European football.
Benitez is believed to have been impressed by Kadar’s performances over the past few seasons and reports have now stated that the Newcastle boss is willing to make a swoop for the Hungarian international for a fee of around £1.8 million in January.
